Luxury Exemplified with the 2021 S-Class
If there’s any top luxury sedan in the ladder of luxury
vehicles, Mercedes Benz S-class has long laid claim to it. If you are someone
who value technology, engineering and some of the most advanced safety concepts
along with lavish hand-crafted designs, then the 2021 S-class by Mercedes is
the right car for you!
With the official shots released for the 2021 S Class,
Mercedes Benz is all set to display its exclusive upgrades for the flagship
series. Apart from releasing the images, the luxury carmaker also confirmed
that the next-gen 2021 S Class will make a world premiere by the second half of
2020 when it will announce some further details about the luxury sedan.
Here are a few specifications related to the upgrade.
The 2021 S Class: Next-Gen Upgrades
The brand-new S-class is said to echo similarities with the
latest E-class facelift. It has similarly-shaped LED headlamps and a huge
chrome-heavy grille that has three horizontal blades. It also has wraparound
LED tail-lights that look similar to the design of the upgraded E-class.
However, the S-class units are seen to have sharper edges and unique detailing
to the front and back designs. MercedesBenz refrained from letting us know of any more details at this time, but in
its official statement, it says that the new S-class will set the bar high in
terms of artificial intelligence and needs-based electrification.
When it comes to the interior, the dashboard is seen to be
minimalistic, mostly dominated by two screens – a landscape-like display for
the digital instrument cluster, and an even larger, waterfall-style display for
the infotainment system. This smoothly flows into the centre console and is
said to run the newest version of the Mercedes' MBUX system. The steering wheel
is flat-bottomed and it looks very sporty and compact.
There are vertically positioned tall AC vents which serve as
an additional reminder of the car’s size and class. On the other hand, the
central AC vents are compact as they try to enhance the minimalist styling of
the sedan. In total, there are four of them, all positioned together
horizontally in a sleek compartment. The rear-seat is designed in such a manner
that the passengers will be able to benefit from AC vents, entertainment screens
behind the front seat headrests and a central armrest that has intuitive
controls for various convenience and entertainment features.
Mercedes-Benz is reportedly said to offer the 2021 S-Class
with 3.0-litre petrol and 2.9-litre diesel engines. It will also offer a
Mercedes-AMG-developed 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine featuring 48V mild-hybrid
technology. For a 6.0-litre V12 engine, many reports state that the saloon variant
won’t be offered with one, but others say it will be. However, there’ll be a plug-in
hybrid powertrain as well.
All in all, the new 2021 S class will have a more fluidic
design and is expected to look much sleeker than the outgoing model. The
carmaker is all set to unveil the next-gen car by mid-September this year. In
India, people can expect them to launch the 2021 S-Class in the second half of
2021.
You may feel that you have enjoyed a comfortable luxury ride
before but it pales in comparison to the one provided by S-class. It is called
Sonderklasse for a reason! Stay tuned.
